You can now upload higher-quality GIFs onto Twitter, thanks to the updated documentation which allows GIFs of up to 15MB are now supported though its only on the web at the moment.

Previously all listed animated GIFs across all platforms had to be upto 5MB.

We are not sure when the same will be added to the company’s mobile apps, and there’s no word about when GIF support will arrive for Tweetdeck.

However, if this is adopted on the Mobile apps, expect a significant increase in your Mobile data usage plan.

Native GIF support arrived on Twitter in February after a partnership with Giphy and Riffsy.
