Samsung has announced that its new 36” four-door refrigerator has the industry’s first-ever automatic sparkling water dispenser. It’s powered by SodaStream, so you can get cold, bubbly water anytime of the day or night. The filtered sparkling water will come through the dispenser on the fridge door that already delivers water and ice.
The sparkling water dispenser uses a standard SodaStream 60L CO2 cylinder which is concealed inside the left refrigerator door. That way it’s easy to get to when you need to change it.
Kevin Dexter, senior vice president of home appliances sales and marketing for Samsung Electronics America, said, “By joining forces with SodaStream, we are able to offer our consumers something never before seen on a refrigerator and bring a new experience to the kitchen.”
All this fizz comes with a price. The Samsung Refrigerator with sparkling water dispenser will be available in the U.S. in April 2013 for around $3899.
Is this the fridge of the future? What would you like to see on a high tech refrigerator in your house?
