Dr. Chris Baryomunsi Appointed as New Minister of ICT and National Guidance

Yoweri K. Museveni who is running for the sixth term as the President of Uganda has appointed his new 2021/26 Cabinet. The newly appointed Cabinet comprises of 25 Ministers and 50 State Ministers.

In the new Cabinet, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has been appointed as the Minister of Information, Communications Technology, and National Guidance. He will be assisted by Ms. Joyce Ssebugwawo as the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance.

Baryomunsi and Ssebugwawo replace Judith Nabakooba and Peter Ogwang as the ICT Minister and State Minister for ICT respectively.

Prior to his new position, Baryomunsi was the State Minister of Health for General Duties, now succeeding Nabakooba who has been appointed as the new Minister of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development.

On the other hand, Dr. Monica Musenero is the new Minister, office of the President serviced by the State House Comptroller, in Charge of Science, Technology, and Innovations.
