Good news Wrestling fans, World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. has just announced that it will launch a 24/7 streaming network in the US starting from February 24.
Subscribers who pay $9.99 per month with a six-month commitment will get access to all 12 current WWE pay-per-view events — live, as well as on demand — and nearly everything in the WWE’s library.
Previously, each pay-per-view event had to be purchased independently for $44.95, with the exception of WrestleMania, priced at $59.95.
The network will be available on desktops and laptops via its website, while it will also be available as an app on Android and iOS devices, as well as Amazon’s Kindle fire devices, Roku streaming devices, Sony PlayStation 3 and 4, and Xbox 360. Support for Xbox One and certain smart TVs will be announced in the summer.
The launch will start in US, but it is scheduled to launch in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Nordics by the end of 2014 or early 2015.
