It was in Jan. 2018 when Facebook-owned, messaging platform; WhatsApp rolled out a standalone business app for its marquee app. Called WhatsApp Business, the app was rolled out for only Android users, and till then the iOS version wasn’t launched.
It was reported in May 2018 that the company was reported working on a version for iOS. WABetaInfo reported that the app was in its developmental phase and presently didn’t have many business features such as Labels and Quick Replies – which are seen in the Android version.
Last month, it was reported that the app was finally available in beta testing.
Now, it has been reported that the app is out of beta and a stable version has been released and is now available in the App Store. The caveat is that it seems to currently be available only in select countries for now.
It was first spotted by WABetaInfo. The WhatsApp Business is available in select countries via the App Store, the first one being Mexico. Another report by GSM Arena notes that users from Brazil, Argentina, and France has also confirmed that the app is live in their respective App Stores.
WhatsApp, is yet to make an official announcement on the WhatsApp Business for iPhone app.
