WhatsApp for Android gets “Mark as Unread” update

Messaging giant WhatsApp has updated Its Android app, and added a few additions to its already versatile instant messaging service.

The new 2.12.194 update brings the “Mark as Unread” option, which allows you to mark a chat you’ve already visited as unread.

This can act as a handy reminder if you want to deal with a conversation later.

You can also customize notifications for each contact with a different ring tone, and decide whether or not it generates a popup.

The third change is the “Low data usage” mode, where you can monitor your data usage through WhatsApp, and limit it to a particular data count.

However, this update is still in beta and can only download it from the WhatsApp website.
