Samsung, Airtel Uganda launch Galaxy S4 [PHOTOS]

Samsung Electronics (East Africa) and Airtel today launched the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy SIV at a breakfast event in Kampala.

As part of an on-going global launch of the Galaxy S4 Smart Phone in key markets and just a week after the launch of the handset in Africa at a colourful event in South Africa, Samsung Electronics East Africa is taking the lead to unveil the latest addition to the Galaxy S line.

Uganda becomes the third African country in which the smartphone has been launched, after South Africa and Kenya.

Samsung Electronics East Africa Chief Operating Officer, Robert Ngeru speaking when he confirmed the launch of the Galaxy S4 in the Kampala, explained that the beauty of the phone lies in the highly crafted design encompassing a larger screen size and battery, minimized bezel; all housed in a light (130g) and slim (7.9mm) shape.

The Samsung S4 is the one phone that has the global phone market buzzing it is the most anticipated phone to be released in 2013, pre orders for the device exceeded 10 million  units less than two weeks after the announcement of the commercial launch.

In a strategic alliance, the Galaxy S4 will be available at all Airtel and Samsung authorized dealer shops in Uganda.
