ICTAU Chairman Among Ugandan Delegates Attending the Stockholm Internet Forum

ICT Association of Uganda (ICTAU) Chairman; Mr. Albert Mucunguzi is among the 21 delegates from Uganda invited to attend the 2019 Stockholm Internet Forum (SIF) in Sweden.

Some of the Uganda delegates invited include; Dorothy Okello; representing UCC, Neema Iyer; Founder and Director at Pollicy Uganda, Gilbert Sendugwa; Africa Freedom of Information Centre, to mention a few,

The Stockholm Internet Forum is organized by the Swedish International Development Agency running under the theme “Shrinking Democratic Space Online – mobilizing for a free, open and secure Internet.”

The forum is offering an arena to exchange ideas, knowledge and collaboration amongst all stakeholders in attendance.

Mr. Albert participated in a panel session “The cost of restrictions, taxes and shutdowns” organized by International Trade Centre. The panel session include; Arancha Gonzalez; ED International Trade Centre, Alp Toker; Director of Net Blocks, Seynabou Thiam, and Samia Melhem; representative from the World Bank.
