Apple Unveils Three iPhones With A13 Bionic Processor

Apple Inc. on Tuesday formally unveiled three iPhones at the Apple Event in California at its Steve Jobs Theater. The next-generation of iPhones were the late devices to be unveiled after the iPad and Apple Watch series 5.

The trio of new iPhones: the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max come with the powerful new A13 Bionic processor as predicted. The processor according to is the fastest CPU and GPU ever inserted in a smartphone.

Apple’s Chief Executive; Tim Cook during the press event said the iPhone XI (11) Pro is the most advanced and powerful iPhone the company has ever built in a stunning new design. The phablet is the first iPhone with triple rear camera and the first to be called “Pro”. The camera designed in a triangle-setting packs wide, telephoto, and ultra-wide sensors.

The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max start at USD$699, USD$999 and USD$1,099, respectively. Pre-orders begin this Friday and made available in stores on Sept. 20th.

As rumored before, not much has been done with the new iPhones. The most the company has done is change in camera, displays, and the processor; the A13 Bionic chip.

The new iPhones all have a 12MP front-facing camera that’s been bumped up from last year’s 7MP lens. Each iPhone also has one additional rear camera compared to its 2018 counterpart.

Unlike the iPhone 11 that has dual rear each with a 12MP sensor for the wide and ultra-wide, the 11 Pro and Pro Max have triple camera all with the 12MP sensors. The third sensor on the Pro and Pro Max is the telephoto, as the rest remain the same as the 11.

In terms of display, iPhone 11 has 6.1-inch LCD Liquid Retina while the Pro and Pro Max 5.8-Inch and 6.5-Inch 5.8-inch OLED Super Retina XDR respectively. The trio comes with Apple’s new OS; iOS 13.

Storage-wise; the iPhone 11 comes in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The Pro and Pro Max come in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB — all don’t support expandable storage. The RAM wasn’t disclosed.

The battery wasn’t disclosed as well by Apple. However, they stated that the iPhone 11 will last 1 hour longer than iPhone XR. While on the other hand, the Pro and Pro Max will last 3 hours longer than iPhone XS and 5 hours longer than iPhone XS Max respectively.

The trio special features include; water resistant (IP68), dual-SIM capabilities (nano-SIM and e-SIM) and support of wireless charging.
