Four months to the launch of new iPhone models, Cupertino-based tech firm, Apple Inc. is rumored to bring one of the models with a triple cameras. However, citing a research note from Yuanta Securities analyst Jeff Pu, the Taipei Times reported that Apple is planning to introduce triple rear camera iPhone in 2019.

On the other hand, in a different report by Economic Daily News, the camera is expected to have a 6P lens design with up to 5x zoom and at least one 12MP module. In addition to this, the third lens might support 3x optical zoom. This will be first time when an iPhone will come with 3X optical zoom as iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X all come with 2x optical zoom.

Apple will follow likes of Chinese smartphone maker Huawei who launched its flagship smartphone Huawei P20 Pro with triple camera. The smartphone is claimed to be the world’s first smartphone with triple camera.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that this year the company will not be making any major upgrades to the present dual rear camera setup of the iPhone X.
