Infinix S3 first impressions: Selfie focused phone at a good price

Last month, we announced the arrival of the new Infinix S3 onto the Ugandan market, which is the latest device to roll out from Infinix Mobile.

We managed to get our hands unto the S3 which is the newest member of the S family, to give it a test run.

In this article, we share an overview and first impressions about the S3.

Unboxing

Inside the Infinix box, you will find the S3, micro USB data and charging cable, 2A USB wall charger, SIM ejector tool, soft jelly case, headphones and documentation.

Design
The S3 comes with a basic design which has a 5.7-inch Infinity Display Screen. The display supports a resolution of 1440×720 pixels with an amazing contrast ratio. It is compact enough to be used with one hand.

The S3 has a plastic design and finish at the back which includes a fingerprint scanner.

Camera
This is definately one of the strengths of the S3. It comes powered with a 20MP front-facing (selfie) low-light camera with flash, and a 13 MP primary camera with flash. If you are a selfie lover, this phone will suit your taste.

Battery
The 4,000mAh battery is enough to get you through the day with all applications running and you won’t feel the need to keep switching off some of the applications. We were able to use it for a full day and ended the day when we still had some battery charge.
