With the Infinix NOTE smartphone on its way to launch, we do the hands on the recently released Infinix HOT 10 the successor of the HOT 9 that was released in April. Barely six months, the company drops another HOT series smartphone in the market.
The Infinix HOT 10 was made available in the Uganda market on Oct. 19th, priced at a RRP of UGX557,000, coming in obsidian black, amber red, ocean wave, and moonlight jade color options. The HOT Series smartphones are known to great to be good budget smartphone devices mostly appealing to the youth given their ability to deliver spectacular entertainment experiences with impressive specifications.
On purchasing the phone, (pro’s note, always make sure the seal on the box isn’t broken if not in your presence. This helps you avoid counterfeit device) — inside the box (unboxing) you get the device itself, the Infinix HOT 10, its accessories including; a charging brick, charging chord that does act like a transfer data cable, standard 3.5mm earphones, plastic phone case, screen guard, and the paper work includes the manual, user guides and a warranty card.
After months of rumors on the specifications of the HOT 10, with now PC Tech Magazine hands on the phone, (quick review) it is built with a glass front, plastic back and plastic frame. The HOT 10 comes with an IPS LCD 6.78-Inches display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels.
Underneath the hood, it comes with a12nm Mediatek Helio G70 chipset, Octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage expandable with a microSDXC (dedicated slot) of up to 128GB.
The dual-SIM phone comes running on Android 10 Mobile Operating System coupled with the company’s XOS v.6.0. It is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 5,200mAh the company claims can last up-to three days on a single charge.
Infinix has always been known for keeping up with innovating and including the best technology for its cameras, since we haven’t tested the cameras yet, the phone comes with 8MP front camera that can shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps. The rear quad camera comes with 16 MP, (wide) + 2 MP, (macro) + 2 MP, (depth) + QVGA (Low light sensor) and shoots videos in 1080p at 30fps.
It weighs about 196g which is a reason weight considering it’s not heavy when held or placed in pockets.
At first glance (first impressions), the phone is totally eye-catching with its glittering colors. It has a huge display which is good for content display, gaming and entertainment experience. It’s battery power raised from 5,000mAh on its predecessor the HOT 9 to 5,200mAh gives users more time to use the phone and power at the same time.
The phone is now available for purchase in all Infinix shops country-wide.
