Industry’s first AI core network, enabling intelligent connectivity of AI agents

George Gao, President of Huawei Cloud Core Network Product Line, launched the industry’s first AI Core Network, marking a transformative leap from AI-powered to AI-native infrastructure. The AI Core Network will be an autonomous generative network capable of self-optimization and self-O&M, enabling the whole industry to evolve from connecting everything intelligently to seamlessly interlinking AI-driven agents, terminals, and scenarios.

Huawei’s AI Core Network rollout will come true in two phases:

  • 5G-A Intelligent Core (phase 1): The network integrates AI agents to enhance intelligent network capabilities. Additionally, by introducing computing-network convergence, the network can boost intelligent computing capabilities for terminals while overcoming their computing power and energy efficiency bottlenecks.
  • Agentic Core (phase 2): Leveraging the AI-based architecture (AIBA), the network will be an autonomous generative network capable of self-optimization and self-O&M, dynamically adapting to diverse real-time service needs.

Zhou reaffirmed Huawei’s commitment to continuous innovation, specifically building the AI-ready data storage foundation and future-proof storage power to fuel AI adoption across the carrier industry.

Four F5G-A optical connectivity and sensing solutions to accelerate industrial intelligence

Huawei has released four F5G-A optical connectivity and sensing solutions. Additionally, they have introduced the latest “3 In 3 Out” developments in the optical industry. Huawei looks forward to collaborating with global customers and partners to continuously innovate optical technologies, to accelerate industrial intelligence.

Perry Yang, President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain, highlighted “3 In and 3 Out” trends in his keynote: Fiber-in Copper-out for home and campus networks, fgOTN-in SDH-out for industry production networks, and Optical-sensing-in, Hard-work-out for remote sensing applications in scenarios such as oil and gas pipeline inspection and perimeter inspection.

Huawei’s FTTO solution now serves over 10,000 campuses, our fgOTN is globally adopted, and optical sensing has been deployed in over 90 projects across industries like oil and gas, airports, and railways, accelerating industrial intelligence through F5G-A technologies.

Huawei gathered carriers, industry partners, and opinion leaders from around the world to explore the intersection of 5G networks and artificial intelligence (AI), and how they can support one another to unlock new growth opportunities.

The company is showcasing a sweeping range of solutions:

  • AI-to-X – Shorthand for AI-to-Consumers, AI-to-Businesses, and AI-to-Homes, including a series of solutions that can help carriers expand into AI services for new, more targeted domains and achieve business growth
  • AI-Centric Network solution – Helping carriers build networks that can meet the challenging demands of new AI applications to ensure a smooth and superior experience
  • AI-powered O&M – Using AI to revitalize network O&M, and helping carriers achieve L4 autonomous networks (AN) for fully intelligent O&M

These discussions come at a time when high-quality, open-source AI models are developing fast, powering a new, more diverse wave of innovation in AI applications.

Huawei’s theme this year is “Accelerating the Intelligent World”, and their star-studded booth in Hall 1 is designed to represent countless bits of intelligence lighting up the night’s sky.
