Infinix Note3 Review: Big and powerful

If you thought the Infinix Hot4 design is good, wait till you get our hands on the Infinix NOte3 Phablet, which was launched unto the Ugandan market through a partnership with Kilimall.

DESIGN

This Phablet comes with a 6-inch display, making it  a really a big smartphone. It is a slim device with metallic body which gives it a premium look.

The dimensions of the Infinix Note 3 are 161.5 x 81.5 x 8.4 mm and the weight of the smart phone is 200 grams which makes it heavy difficult to use by single hand.

At the front display there is LED notification light at the top of the screen on right side that blinks on different notifications, a front facing camera on the left side of the mobile and LED flash light on right side.

The earpiece is between the front camera and LED flash light, and the function keys are inside the display screen. At the back, there is a rear camera and dual LED flash below the camera. There is a fingerprint scanner located below the flash.

DISPLAY

The phone comes with a 6-inch 1080 x 1920 pixels (480 dpi) display. This gives you the ability to watch your all your high definition content.

CAMERA

There is 13 MP, autofocus, dual-LED flash back camera and 5MP front camera.

The back camera also supports Gesture Shot, Smile Shot, Panorama.

It has different modes, including Picture in picture (PIP) mode which enables you to capture images with both front and rear camera on single screen and merge it.

The back camera can record video with 1080 resolution.

If you are into photography, the Note3 will come in handy.

The Note3 runs on Android 6 Marshmallow under Infinix Mobility’s XOS user interface.

It comes with a number of apps pre-installed, which include: Ultra Power, XManager, XAccount, XClub, XHide and XWeather.

BATTERY

There is a Li-ion 4500 mAh non-removable battery is fixed in Infinix Note 3. This is powerful compared to other phablets. The Note3 also has standby intelligent power saving mode and supports fast charging.

In Ultra power mode, all power functions are tunrned off to extend the using time.

PRICE

The Infinix Note3 is currently selling at only UGX 519,000 at kilimall.co.ug

  • No 4G LTE(Which is now a standard)
  • Battery is not removable, not easily replaceable.
  • Heats up when Camera is used  for long.
