Understanding Samsung’s “Accidental Damage Handling” warranty

galaxy-s4As reported earlier, Samsung planning to offer users of the Galaxy S4 “Accidental Damage Handling (ADH)”, an extension to the standard 24-months warranty that will cover cover 2-way damages; broken displays and liquids damage.

The accidental damage warranty is available at no additional cost in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Namibia, Zambia, Mauritius, Uganda, Cote d’Ivorie, Angola, Botswana, and Mozambique.

ADH will cover EITHER once for screen and once for water damage OR two times screen damage OR two time water damage, within 24 months from the date of purchase.

Purchase of Galaxy S4 has be registered on E-warranty by sending SMS to 6585 and typing: reg*IMEI number#

Only those Galaxy S4 will be covered under warranty and ADH which are genuine and purchased in-country from authorized channel.

To check if Galaxy S4 is genuine and under warranty, customer can check before buying by sending SMS to 6585 and typing: check*IMEI number#

IMEI number can be found on sticker on sales OR back side of handset where battery is inserted.
