Following its previous nomination and awards ceremonials, Reach A Hand, Uganda, early in May, 2018 opened nomination for its 9th Young Achievers Awards – an initiative that rewards excellence, hard work and innovation of youth in Uganda.
The nomination were open to all youth who are impacting society and their communities through unique and creative entrepreneur and businesses and other ways of changing society.
Since its inaugural in 2010, the Young Achievers Awards have recognized and celebrated outstanding youth in the Ugandan Community that have excelled in various realms such as; Arts, Entrepreneurship, Media and Journalism, Philanthropy, Innovation, Sports.
It has established itself as arguably the most prestigious awards’ event. Some of the Lifetime achievers include H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, H.E. Paul Kagame, the late Dr. James Mulwana, Sister Rachelle Fassera, to mention a few that have greatly impacted Ugandan society positively.
Last year winners include; ZIlla Mary Arach; Co-Founder of Lacel Technologies, Ricky Papa Thompson; Co-Founder of SafeBoda, Gerald Otim; Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer, Ensibuko, Brian Ahumuza of Abryanz Collection, Ian Akankwasa aka Sasha Vybz; music director, and so forth.
The the 2018 Young Achievers Awards nominees will be unveiled today at a press dinner that will happen at Kampala Serena Hotel- Katonga Hall, starting at 6p.m EAT.
