The 2nd Ghana Youth and Graduates Conference 2010 is themed – “My Dream for Ghana”. The objective of GGC 2010 is to explore the contributions to socio-economic development in Ghana (and Africa) from the perspective of undergraduate and postgraduate scholars and/or scholars in the early years of their professional careers. It will be a place for discourse and debate on novel approaches to building a better Ghana. The invited audience includes students, faculty, educators and government agencies concerned with education and business development.
GGC aims to create and promote a ‘space’ for communicating and nurturing unique ideas and concepts into sustainable projects or business enterprises which have a positive impact on society and future generations. The event will feature workshops on cyber crime and health care on the 23 September and a graduate forum on the 24 September. Graduates from Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda will be presenting novel concepts from their dissertations, and entrepreneurial ventures. Major attractions at the graduate forum include presentations from the graduates of the Ghana Multimedia Incubator Centre, the launch of PC Tech Magazine – Africa’s most contemporary technology magazine, and the launch of the Axxhira Chronicles, a project to give a voice to herbal medicine research.
GGC 2010 will be hosted at Silverbird Cinema, Accra Mall, Accra, between 8.30 – 4.00pm on 23 and 24 September 2010. The conference is sponsored by the PearlRichards Foundation and the Ghana Multimedia Incubator Centre. Visit the conference website to read more: www.ghanagraduatesconference.com.
