Moto-taxi ride railing company, SafeBoda this morning announced that they intend to offer a 50% discount off its rides for all its cash and cashless customers —and according to the company, the new discount offers customers a more convenient option for their trips while improving their experience with the app. The offer comes weeks after the moto-taxi hailing company celebrate its 6th year anniversary.

Ricky Thomson, the co-founder of SafeBoda, says the 50% discount offer aims to increase the daily earnings and rides for SafeBoda drivers as well as appreciate their customers for their continued support for the past 6 years. “The offer comes at a time when the app just celebrated its 6th year anniversary and we believe that this offer will encourage more people to join the SafeBoda community for a convenient boda-boda experience,” said Thomson.

The offer will run from May 3rd to May 7th, 2021 and will thereafter be followed by a 30% discount for the rest of the month. In addition to the 50% discount offer, SafeBoda says its customers will also stand a chance to win exciting giveaways throughout the campaign. Some of the products available to win include television sets, laptops, Mi-Fis, speakers among others.

SafeBoda still manages to take a lead in the moto-taxi hailing industry. They have grown from a small Ugandan ride hailing startup to an African super app empowering over 1 million customers and over 20,000 SafeBodas only in Kampala, Uganda.
