Yes, the Camon 16 Premier can be rated as a powerful handset compared to its predecessor. The phone comes with minor upgrades, this includes; the display, the chipset, camera sensors, processor, and the battery. Not much has been done on the Camon 16 Premier, but it still stands out to be one of the best smartphones from Tecno Mobile.

The Camon 16 Premier comes along with its sister phones, the Camon 16, and Camon 16 Pro. PC Tech Magazine, however gets hands on the the Camon 16 Premier for a full two weeks review. Our first impressions, the hugeness of the phone at 6.9-Inches is a total catch since it gives more viewership, entertainment is a fantastic A+ on this. The battery is a 4,500mAh non-removable —the capacity of the battery isn’t the catch but it being to support fast charging, and the company claims as advertised that the user can 70% battery life in 30 minutes. This is minor but shifting the fingerprint mount from the back and side-mounting on the power button is impressive as well. 128GB internal storage, the user almost needs no microSD card to expand their storage.

Two other impressiveness we loved is; one the phone’s ability to shoot videos in 4K at 30 frames per second (fps). Tecno’s first phone to shoot in 4K which is impressive for those that love videography/filmmaking, and the second the phone supports USB Type-C 2.0.

A quick review, the dual-SIM (supports two 4G LTE sim cards), comes with a 6,9-Inches IPS LCD, 90Hz, HDR10+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. Underneath the hood, the phone run on Android 10 coupled with HIOS v6.0 —comes with a Mediatek MT6785 Helio G90 chipest from a quick run we conduct is pretty fast, Octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage which can be expanded for more storage.

On its cameras, the phone packs a quad-rear camera with 64MP (main) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (depth) + 2MP (video) sensors. The cameras are able to shoot video in 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 960fps. On the other side, the dual-front camera comes with 48MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) sensors and only shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps.
