TECNO Mobile Partners With MTN Uganda to Launch the Camon 15 Smartphones
Camon 15 is the latest Tecno smartphone and comes fully connected with an MTN SIM Card and 3GB free every month for three months.
Tecno Mobile has announced a new partnership with MTN Uganda, launching their latest smartphone, the Tecno Camon 15 in Uganda. Customers who buy the Camon 15 will automatically get connected with a free MTN SIM card plus 3GB free every month for three months.
MTN offered a similar partnership to Tecno last year while launching the Camon 12 and Spark 4.
“Last year we launched a partnership with MTN in an effort to enhance the value of TECNO smartphone offers to our customers. We’re here today to continue fulfilling our promise of enabling all Ugandans to experience the best smartphones while using the best internet connectivity in the country. We chose to partner with MTN because we’re both customer centric brands and this partnership is for the benefit of both our customers,” Mr. Shiva Zhong, TECNO Country Director said at the launch.

Tecno Mobile is launching three Camon 15 variants; the Camon 15, Camon 15 Air and Camon 15 Premier — available countrywide in Tecno shops and MTN Service Centres. Camon 15 comes in Shoal Gold, Fascinating Purple and Dark Jade colors. The Camon 15 Air comes in Malachite Blue, Ice Lake Blue and Misty Grey color option while the Camon 15 Premier comes in two colors Ice Jadeite and Opal White.
The Camon 15 comes upgraded with camera, display, performance, among others. The camera, which can easily be considered to be the best in the smartphone market comes with a 48MP AI Quad camera set-up at the back to give customers more appealing and professional photos. Camon 15 has taken the unprecedented step to start its artificial intelligence vision optimization solution to bring to its consumers truly ultra-clear night shots. The Ultra Night Lens makes better edge correction and multi-frame noise reduction, producing more pure and clear night shot. Reduce over exposure to restore true night scene in all directions, improve the image brightness and dynamic range at the same time, shooting brighter photos in dark environments.

The Camon 15 comes with a 6.6-Inch display with all glass front, plastic back, plastic frame build. It runs on Android 10 with Tecno’s HIOS v6.0 skin topped to the operating system. It is powered by Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable with a dedicated microSD card. The dual-sim phone is backed on a non-removable Li-Po 5,000mAh battery.
Imaging and optics, the Camon 15 comes with a quad rear cameras with 48MP+2MP+2MP+QVGA sensors and a 16MP front facing camera. Both cameras shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. The rear camera is supported with Quad-LED flash and front-facing camera is supported by Dual-LED flash for low lighting setting.
In terms of communications, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth v5.0, 3.5mm standard earphone jack, and microUSB v2.0.
