After the official announcement on April 4th, 2019, Seedstars World and First Growth Ventures have partnered to launch Seedstars Africa Ventures — a sub-Saharan Africa fund targeting to invest USD$100M in African startups.

The focus of the fund will be on early-stage minority investments of between USD$250,000 and USD$5M in the most promising innovative ventures across a variety of sectors and countries.

The fund will be seedstars first Africa’s regional fund. Charlie Graham-Brown, Seedstar World CIO told VentureBurn — the fund seeks to begin investing in 30 to 40 companies by the end of 2019.
