Uganda’s telecom giant; MTN Uganda for its existence in Uganda for the past 19 years and still counting keeps surprising us.

Following their introduction on unlimited internet which comes in three packages i.e. Unlimited Premium, Unlimited Basic, and Unlimited Night – last month, MTN also earlier this month made a number of other changes – on their Mobile Money rates and data packages especially on the Social Bundles (WTF) and the usual daily bundles. Of which the data changes caused havoc on social media platform, with some of its loyal (that’s what I might say “Loyal”) customers said because of the revised in the data change and also over depletion of data – were shifting to another telecom firm; which most were saying was Africell Uganda.

However, putting all that aside, the company has surprised us with something that I presume most people or most of us have thought about for quite some time or even wished they/we would do so……[related-posts]

MTN Uganda in a tweet announced that now its customers can pay for their products from Amazon and EBay using their MTN Mobile Money with FREE shipping to Uganda.

For one thing we know, Amazon and EBay are some of the biggest online shopping platforms globally. However, they’re somehow limited to a few countries. For instance, customers in Uganda can’t purchase products from these platform and have their products shipped to the destination (in this case Uganda) – which it can’t. One has to have a friend, a relative, or an acquaintance that can buy the product for you in case they are in countries where these products can be shipped – who later will mail the product to you or simply bring it to you on their return and in the end, you pay them back.

Well! This all ends. With now MTN mobile money, you can pay for your products and have them shipped to Uganda at zero cost and all will be done/go through goodsexpress.com.
