Uganda: Smile Slashes Price of New High-Tech Routers

MiFiSMILE Communications Uganda has launched a promotion campaign where business and individuals can purchase at a reduced price the Smile “Mi-Fi” – a multiple-user, pocket-sized router with an in-built battery that comes loaded with 5GB free internet start-up bundle.

With the Mi-Fi, users can share Smile’s superfast 4GLTE internet experience in the office, at home or on the move. The Smile Mi-Fi has an attractive, slick design.              Its display allows the user to easily see the connection status, bandwidth utilisation, signal strength, calendar and time in addition to it being easy to use; simply ‘plug and play’ with no software needed to be installed.

The Mi-Fi lightweight long-life battery device is about the size of a small mobile phone and works as a modem and router. The Mi-Fi can share connections with up to eight WiFi enabled devices simultaneously, such as tablets, notebooks, laptops and smartphones.

More and more businesses, friends and family are not only using but becoming dependent on good quality, high speed internet.

The promotional campaign dubbed ‘Superfast internet on the go’ will run for two months to enable people enjoy Smile’s superfast internet during this holiday season at a more affordable price of UGX. 240,000/= only.
