What Smartphone Giants Might Launch At The 2018 Mobile World Congress

Following the success of the CES 2018, smartphone manufacturers are once again gearing up to launch their second line of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The event is to be held in Barcelona, and to be exact Fira Barcelona Gran Via.

Will run from 26th February to 01st of March, 2018.

Unlike the CES, MWC holds a combination of the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry and a conference featuring prominent executives representing mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors and content owners from across the global.

Unlike Cupertino-based tech firm, Apple Inc. who won’t unveil anything, the likes of Huwaei, Samsung, Sony, and LG might. We might expect big announcements regarding their new devices. It’s worth paying attention to if you’re planning to get yourself a new phone later this year.

Samsung
After dimissing rumors of unveiling the Galaxy S9 and S9+ at CES, the company will unveil them at the MWC. DongJin Koh; President of the Mobile Communication Business at Samsung Electronics confirmed this at the CES.

The flagship will go head-to-head with Apple’s iPhone X.

Probably South Korean-based Electronics firm, might as well unveil a foldable phone dubbed, the Samsung Galaxy X.

Huawei
According to rumors, the Shenzhen-based smartphone markers, will unveil the successor of the Huawei P10 and P10+ rumored to come with a 40MP triple-lens camera boasting five-times hybrid zoom.

On the other hand, according to TheMirror, the Chinese firm might as well launch a new smartwatch dubbed the Huawei Watch 2.

Nokia
Having re-launched a revamp of the Nokia 3310, its rumored that the Finnish firm is unveiling a premium smartphone – the Nokia 9 designed to compete in today’s market.

Sony

The Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation firm, normally won’t miss this event. With its’ strong presence, its rumored that they will launch the Sony Xperia XZ Pro.

According to a leak on Chinese website MyDrivers , it’ll be a new flagship device with a 5.7-inch 4K OLED panel.
