Tecno Mobile earlier this month celebrated its 15th anniversary with a remarkable Camon Doodle Party with a vibrant blend of technology and artistry. Attended by various people including the press, tech enthusiasts, device reviewers, influencers, and artists at the Villa in Bukoto, a township in Kampala, the Camon Doodle Party centered around the launch of the Camon 20 Doodle Edition the newest smartphone in the Camon 20 Series launched in May this year.

Tecno Product Consultant, Mr. Bruce Dickson during the unveiling of the Camon 20 Doodle Edition emphasized how this innovative smartphone seamlessly blends art and technology — in other words, “Where Art Meets Technology”.

The Tecno Camon 20 Doodle is the first smartphone that has implemented a technology when its back panel absorbs light it can glow in the dark showing a doodle inscription on it — which makes it the first phone to come with such a feature. The doodle (art) is done by a UK-based artist, Mr. Doodle.

“Camon 20 Doodle is the only smartphone that gives off a fluorescent glow at night after absorbing light showing doodle art by Mr. Doodle,” said Dickson. He adds “Mr. Doodle’s masterpiece comes alive. Be the luminous muse to paint the night sky with splendor. Fill every moment with vibrant hues.”

The Camon 20 Doodle Edition doesn’t differ much from the rest of the phablets in the series. It comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, it has a 6nm Helio G99 chipset, an Octa-core processor, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of onboard storage, runs on Android 13 OS under HIOS 13 powered by a non-removable 5,000 Li-Po battery, and supports fast charging.

Imaging and optics, the phone comes with a 32MP front-facing camera, and a dual-rear camera (64MP (main) + 2MP (depth)). The front and rear cameras can shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps — and the rear can go up to 4K at 30fps.

To wrap it all the phone is a 5G-enabled handset ensuring a smoother and more reliable network connection and faster internet speeds for a more fluent browsing experience.
