Telecommunication firm; MTN Uganda has announced its second Momo Nyabo campaign that will see MTN customers rewarded for sending money. This comes three days after the telco slashed its sending fees by half aimed at giving back to their customers as claimed.
The announcement was made at a media press brief at Nyonyi Gardens; the telcos head offices. However, the official launch of the campaign took place in Masaka at Brovad Hotel.
The promo is set to run for eight weeks where MTN customers will be rewarded for sending money — unlike last year when they were rewarded when using mobile money to buy airtime, voice or data bundles.
During the course of eight weeks, customers will be rewarded with cars, motorcycles, smartphones, and cash prizes that will be topped up on their mobile money accounts.
Speaking at the launch, Samuel Gitta; MTN Uganda’s Ag. GM Risk and Compliance said, “MTN is the largest telecom company in Uganda today because of the support of our customers. Its therefore incumbent upon us to give back to them to say thank you for making us who we are.”
Gitta said the telco is continually evolving to make its customers’ lives better. He emphasized that MTN values and appreciates its customers and all they can do is give back to them.
Meanwhile to take part in the promo, dial *165*1# to send money. To an advantage, you are charged half the price because MTN early this week cut its sending fees by half.
