One of the World leading Software Company, Oracle Incorporated, has revealed plans to establish the first West and Central Africa Oracle Advanced Solution Centre in Lagos, Nigeria
This is where it will showcase its products and services for businesses and expand its cloud service portfolio. The solution centre will oversee all Oracle hardware and software solutions to suit customer benefits. Speaking at the Oracle Open Day 2012 in Lagos last week, Regional Sales Director of Oracle, West and Central Africa for hardware, Alexander Jenewein, revealed that with the paced nature of technology, Oracle is paying attention to Nigeria being the second largest market in Africa with a its teeming population embracing technology to better their lives.
The center will also serve a stopping point for oracle customers, who will not have to travel far to contact an Oracle agent, while deploying Oracle solutions,” he explained.
“Already one of our partners is doing a search for a proper location and premises and the center will have a showroom where we can display servers to test, benchmark and showcase the systems to our customers and run the applications for them to see.”

The Oracle Open World 2012 is one of the world’s largest technology show which features about 50,000 people from 123 countries around the world.
