C-Care Uganda hosted its media appreciation breakfast on Wednesday at Onomo Hotel in Kampala to build and strengthen its relationship with media stakeholders, while addressing previous limitations in public perception and fragmented awareness of C-Care’s comprehensive service evolution and growing impact on Uganda’s healthcare landscape.

The breakfast meeting served as a vital platform for C-Care to communicate, among other things, its strategic adoption of technology and innovative solutions aimed at transforming its healthcare delivery. Its leadership team emphasized how C-Care is utilizing technology to enhance the patient experience, streamline clinical processes, and improve health outcomes. From telemedicine to advanced diagnostic equipment, the hospital is positioning itself at the forefront of tech-enabled healthcare in Uganda.

The hospital is moving to an era where technology works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every patient receives the best possible care.

At the heart of C-Care’s transformation is its investment in AI-enabled diagnostic tools, a leap placing Uganda’s medical technology on par with global standards. “We have the latest CT scanners, X-ray systems, and MRI machines, which are AI-enabled,” Azhar Sundhoo, CEO of C-Care East Africa, told the press on the sidelines of the breakfast meeting. “The AI integration within these systems not only enhances diagnostic accuracy but also reduces the time needed for medical evaluations, ensuring faster, data-driven treatment decisions.”

Sundhoo also emphasized that in today’s rapidly advancing medical landscape, Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) can only be achieved through access to the right diagnostic tools. He explained that accurate diagnosis forms the foundation of effective treatment, and without reliable, high-quality diagnostic technology, medical decisions risk being based on assumptions rather than data.

In his view, C-Care investing in advanced imaging systems, laboratory equipment, and data-driven diagnostic processes is not just about modernization; it is a fundamental requirement for ensuring that every clinical decision is supported by scientific evidence. This approach, he noted, aligns with global healthcare standards and underscores C-Care’s commitment to integrating technology into patient care for better outcomes.

C-Care is also reimagining its operating theaters with infection control technologies and advanced surgical environments to enable complex surgeries.

Ultimately, C-Care’s technology is more about putting the patient first. It is about a little girl from a rural town receiving a life-changing cochlear implant surgery performed by a team of highly-skilled experts, a procedure made possible by advanced surgical tools and imaging. This move to innovation is a promise to Ugandans that accessible and efficient health care is possible. It is an invitation to experience healthcare as it should be, where technology serves as a tool for healing and a healthier Uganda.
