Therefore, only minimum requirements, a 12-month tenure, and having a stable account are needed to be eligible for Digi Loans; anything more is additional bureaucratic work that the customer would have to handle.

No more traditional loan-granting system that needs manual underwriting, and you are also saved from those long waiting periods. The system is now meant to be paperless and no more visits to the bank’s branchless, and it is in concurrence with the fact that youth in the country are shifting to the use of mobile devices first, as about 75% of the country’s population is under 30 years old.

The borrowing process has been fully transformed by Absa through Digi Loans as it wipes out all the trouble spots that a customer used to go through.
