Smartphone manufacturer, itel Mobile has been silent quite some time, as we haven’t seen the manufacturer launch any new phones. The outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic made it even more difficult for the company to make its phones available for its customers in Uganda.
Now, the company rumored to launch a new handset in its P-series line probably next week. The phone rumored is the itel P37 which has already been launched in Nigeria and Kenya —with Uganda being the next stop for the company to bring the phone to their customers.
Launching the itel P37 will succeed the itel P36 that was launched in July 2020. We expect the company to launch two variants as they did on the predecessor, itel P36. The P36 came with a Pro LTE version, the first of its kind in itel smartphones. Sustaining a well-established culture of providing innovative mobile communications offerings to everyone, the itel P36 Pro LTE was fitted with 4G LTE, the first of its kind on the series, offering a fast internet connection. Therefore we expect the P37 to support 4G connections as well.
What we are to expect, a huge display, storage expansion (RAM and ROM), better cameras, 4G connections, Software Upgrade, as well as we expect the speeds to be improved for better performance.
On pricing, because itel mobiles are so affordable, we expect the itel P37 to be in a price range between UGX300,000 to UGX350,000.
