Infinix Mobility last month partnered with Airtel Uganda to launch their most anticipated smartphone of 2020, the Infinix NOTE7 and its lite version NOTE7 Lite. And according to the company their aim is providing their customers with an ultimate smartphone experience at a reasonable price. On the other hand, Airtel is offering 5GB of data valid for a month when one buys any of the handsets.
After launching the smartphones officially following successes in other countries like Nigeria, Kenya, PC Tech Magazine received one of handset, the NOTE7 for hands-on ( B-roll hands-on) and review To be precise, we got the Bolivia Blue variant that comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Infinix ditched the X-Pen on the NOTE7, as well as made some huge changes and we pick 5 that impressed us the most.
1. Display
The NOTE7 has the biggest display in all Infinix smartphones. Comes with the 6.95-Inch HD Infinity-O display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. The huge display gives users more viewing and work space. Best for entertainment, game-play, reading among others. The huge display makes the phone big, thus users with small hands will get difficulties holding the phone. But the display remains as one of the most impressed upgraded features.
2. Quad-rear Camera
The camera perspective is always a selling key point of Infinix phones. With a quad-sensors, the company went with the circular-arranged setting similar to the Nokia 7.2. In our opinion, the circular-setting is much better than vertical setting if the company had opt for it. The sensors of the rear camera are at 48MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) + 2MP (dedicated video camera). Producing some good and representable photos. Thus, the quad-camera is an impressed upgrade.
3. Fingerprint side-mounted
We didn’t expect this. The feature is been shifted from the normal-placement at the back, to mounting it on top of the power button. This is one of the best upgraded for an infinix smartphone and we hope to see the company sticking to it. Having set the sensor as security measure, unlocking the phone is just one click away.
4. Fast Charging
The NOTE7 first to support v3.0 fast charging capabilities. Draining out your 5,000mAh battery you are able to get from 0% to 50% in 45 minutes. So, you can consume your power at ease with confidence that you will retrieve it back in no time when charging.
5. 128GB Storage
Internal storage is always key when buying a smartphone. 64GB could be enough, but 128GB is much better. The phone comes with a 128GB storage, downloading a cloud-storage app gives you more space, and let’s you keep space.
