Youth led non-profit organization; Reach a Hand Uganda (RAHU) has launched its SAUTIplus mobile application.
Available for Android users, the app is designed to help youth access accurate and reliable information about their Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) in a convenient manner.
Humphrey Nabimanya; Founder of RAHU while speaking at the launch, said “the SAUTIplus app is an innovative milestone in the company’s continuous effort to find effective ways of communicating with young people.”
“We are always innovating and finding new ways to reach young people. The SAUTIplus app will go a long way in helping us achieve this. It is an innovative one stop mobile app for young people to receive information on Sexual Reproductive Health,” said Humphrey.
The youth can ask series of question through the app about their sexual reproductive health — which according to RAHU are answered swiftly. The SAUTIplus app seeks to bridge the gap and help youth understand and safely exercise their Reproductive Health Rights.
The SAUTIplus app also provides referrals to youth friendly health service reducing the stigma associated with young people and sexual reproductive focused health visits.
The app allows them to discover youth friendly health centers to go to for stigma free SRHR services.
