Jumia to Start Selling Buganda Kingdom’s Merchandise on its Platform

Jumia Uganda has on Wednesday announced a partnership with Majestic Brands Limited, Buganda Kingdom’s official investment arm, to start selling the kingdom’s merchandise via its platforms with all sales revenue going towards supporting the kingdom’s development projects.

The announcement was made at a press media brief in Bulange, Mengo in the presence of Charles Peter Mayiga; the Katikkiro of Buganda Kingdom, Majestic Brands CEO; Ronald Kawaddwa, and Ron Kawamara; Jumia Uganda’s CEO.

“The Buganda cultural and brand products are highly appreciated by millions of consumers globally. Today we’re pleased to offer a new distribution channel for our customers to own the symbols and memorabilia that make up the norms and culture of Buganda Kingdom,” said Ron.

The Buganda Kingdom product assortment on Jumia includes, portraits of His Majesty; Muwenda Mutebi II, Queen Sylvia, marriage certificates, totems, memorabilia, among others.

Ronald Kawaddwa; Majestic Brands, Chief Executive has asked the public to conveniently make use of Jumia to get these products.
