Uganda Telecom Calls For Applications For its Forthcoming Hackathon

As we wait for the forthcoming 1776 pitch event to happen at tech-incubation hub; Hive Colab on September 7th this year, IT and Telecom firm; Uganda Telecom Limited is looking for opportunities to partner with talented minds in their one day upcoming hackathon dubbed ‘UTL Hackathon’ scheduled to happen on September 9th from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. at Hive colab.

The firm is offering developers/Innovators a platform to showcase their abilities and ideas for a chance to win a grand prize of USD$3,500 (roughly 12,610,500 UGX). “We are doing this because we feel that innovation is best demonstrated by bringing ideas to life, even if the first version may not be perfect,” the firm writes in a statement.

Interested participants should make sure that their prototypes meet the minimum technical requirements – and can therefore send in their applications (FOLLOW THIS LINK) not later than Saturday 9th, September 2017.
