Here it comes! a smartphone without a bezel.
Andy Rubin, the creator of Google’s Android OS, in a tweet posted on his Twitter account has teased a new smartphone that will have no bezels at all that will be made by Rubin’s Essential Products Inc. The tweet shows an image of a phone held with one corner of a device seen and zero bezels at all along with the caption that read;
“I’m really excited about how this is shaping up. Eager to get it in more people’s hands…”
It is not for sure whether the smartphone teased by Rubin is the final product or a prototype.
The smartphone teased appears to be similar to Xiaomi’s Mi Mix, which also has a bezel-less front panel.

According to TimesOfIndia, back in January this year, Bloomberg website reported that the Essential Products Inc. was said to be working on a smartphone that will have the ability to gain new hardware features over time, and besides hinting at a modular device, the modular components will stick with the base device using a magnetic connector.
The reports further claimed that one of the prototypes may have a screen bigger than Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus. However, its overall footprint would be smaller due to lesser bezels.
The particular model is expected to sport a metallic frame and ceramic back. As for the launch, it may launch sometime in the middle of this year.
