Uber Kenya announced in its official Uber Newsroom, it had partnered with Metta, and the Nairobi Innovation Week to launch an initiative dubbed UberPITCH under the theme ‘Innovation to solve pressing local and global challenges’; an initiative geared towards giving aspiring entrepreneurs a face to face meeting with investors.
“UberPITCH powered by Metta in conjunction with Nairobi Innovation Week, are giving entrepreneurs a chance of a lifetime. That’s right – anyone with a good idea can submit an application and request a ride to pitch to an investor,” Uber Kenya writes.
Great ideas will be invited for a special event with some of Kenya’s leading investors and business leaders.[related-posts]
Applicants are required to submit a video application before March 1st, and once your application has been accepted, you will receive an exclusive promo code to apply to your Uber account that you will use to request the UberPICTCH betweenn 10am and 3pm.
Users will be given 15 minutes to pitch their ideas to an investor.
“There are hundreds of strong ideas so demand will be high. If you don’t secure a pitch on your first attempt, keep trying! Nothing ventured, nothing gained,” Uber Kenya writes in a post.
