Huawei Welcomes the Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9 to the Mate Series

Huawei Consumer Business Group has yet again unveiled two latest flagship phablets; the Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9 to it’s Huawei Mate series, during a global event that was held in Munich, Germany on 3rd November, 2016.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Mate 9 seeks to solve issues of smartphone sluggishness and unresponsiveness by optimizing both the hardware and the software to bring consumers a new kind of smartphone experience – one that gets smarter and more efficient across the lifespan of the device.

Huawei Mate 9 Specs

Powered by Huawei’s Kirin 960 chipset, the Huawei Mate 9 is designed specifically to meet the needs of a premium Android smartphone. Huawei is also introducing EMUI 5.0, an intuitive Android user experience with performance-enhancing solutions powered by the latest in artificial intelligence. This unique combination of hardware and software guarantees that the Huawei Mate 9 will bring consumers a new kind of smartphone experience.

The Huawei Mate 9 combines a 4000 mAh high-density battery with the more energy efficient Kirin 960 and a new generation of Huawei’s Super Charge technology, significantly extending battery life. Its phone call time goes up by 40 percent, and gaming time improves by 20 percent, supports 20 hours of continuous video playback, 30 hours of 3G calling, 20 hours of 4G browsing, and up to 105 hours of music playback.

Following the incredible success of the Huawei P9, the Huawei Mate 9 features the second generation Leica dual-lens camera, created with the Mate series user in mind. Co-engineered with Leica, the Huawei Mate 9’s dual lenses work in concert to capture and reproduce stunning details, taking them one step closer to professional cameras. The phablet continues the full-metal unibody frame design found in the Mate Series. Its refined, curved back is optimized for the perfect balance of ruggedness and refinement and its construction demonstrates artisan-caliber metalworking.

The Huawei Mate 9 phablet is a dual-SIM smartphone with more bandwidths than any other smartphone. It includes five 2G bands, nine 3G bands, and 20 4G bands, as well as easy roaming in 217 countries and regions.

Porsche Design Mate 9 Specs

On the other hand, the Porsche Design Mate 9, which is an all graphite black has the most unique curved screen in the world currently, and is also a symmetrical smartphone both horizontally and vertically. The Porsche Design Mate 9 display features an incredible shining effect that results from many ink lenses only several micrometers across, creating a rarely seen natural beam effect.

The Porsche Design Mate 9 finger print sensor has been moved to the front in an effort to ensure the best user experience with its curved display. Combined with virtual buttons on both sides, the new design allows the user to swiftly unlock the device and saves area for the curved screen, offering the ultimate experience.

The phablet also comes with a 2nd generation Leica dual – lens camera with hybrid zoom which elevates smartphone photography to a new level.

The two phablets will be available at retail outlets globally at the end of December 2016 into January 2017.
