Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones Available for Pre-Orders on Flipkart

India based E-commerce company, Flipkart, is now taking on pre-orders for Google’s newest flagships, the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, with a 1 year manufacturers warranty at starting prices of Rs. 57,000 (roughly $852, or 2.9 million UGX) for the Pixel 32GB variant, Rs. 66,000 (roughly $987, or 3.3 million UGX) for the Pixel 128GB variant, and Rs.76,000 (roughly $1137, or 3.8 million UGX) for the Pixel XL 128GB variant, as the company promises to delivery them by October 25th.

While only three SKUs of the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphones up for pre-order, Google spokesperson confirmed to Gadgets 360 that the rest of the SKUs will go up for pre-order later in the coming days.

The retailer is however offering an exchange discount of up to Rs. 27,000 (roughly $405) as well as e-gift vouchers worth 10% of the price of the model being purchased. The offer is only available to first 1,000 customers.[related-posts]

As for color options, only the Quite Black models is currently listed on the site. However, Google confirmed that the Silver models will be up for pre-order by the end of Thursday

Smartphone specs:
The Google Pixel sports a 5-inch full-HD Amoled display and the Google Pixel XL sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD Amoled display – both with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Both the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones sport an aluminium unibody, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, with two cores clocked at 1.6GHz, and two cores clocked at 2.15GHz, packed with 4GB RAM, 12.3MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, Android 7.1 Nougat OS, with a USB Type-C port and also sport a Pixel Imprint fingerprint sensor.

The smartphones are also IP53 rated for dust and water resistance.

Google has specified however that both smartphones have access to unlimited storage for full-resolution photos and videos via Google Photos.
