Motorola Google Nexus 6 and HTC Google Nexus 9 Will Soon Get the Android 7.0 Nougat Update

Google few weeks back started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for compatible Nexus devices including; Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C tablet, and Android One General Mobile 4G devices gradually. However, Motorola Google Nexus 6 and HTC Google Nexus 9, to pending reasons.

However, the search egine-tech giants, have now confirmed that both the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will finally receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update in the coming weeks, the company confirmed the details to Android Police minus giving an exact timeline for the update.

Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 users can mean while register for the Android N Developer Preview as they wait for the Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Android 7.0 Nougat build brings a host of improvements such as multi-window support, enhanced notifications, revamped doze, and number blocking.

    1. @casbar:disqus How is that possible, the Nexus 9 comes with Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop) and it upgradable to v6.0.1 (Marshmallow). But it hasn’t got the upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. Please be certain of what you’re talking about.

      While the Nexus 6 is currently running on Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop) and it’s upgradable to v7.0 (Nougat).

      1. I promise you that I was just as surprised as you and I usually feel that I have to wait longer than most for these updates. But yes, my Nexus 9 received the update about a month ago. It is not the LTE version if that helps you any. I ordered it from Google directly on the day 1 release.
