Google brings HTTPS to all blogspot domains

Google’s hunt of making the internet a more secure place is taking another step. The internet giants earlier this week flipped the HTTPS switch for all Blogspot domains, according to their post on the Google Security Blogspot account.

“HTTPS is fundamental to Internet security; it protects the integrity and confidentiality of data sent between websites and visitors’ browsers,” Google security software engineer Milinda Perera said in a statement.

The search engine giants first enabled this feature last year in September, but bloggers needed to opt in. Now, starting this week, all encrypted connections are enabled by default. Thus, bloggers will also have the option to enable a redirect.
