Dropsuite and Ingram Partner to Bring Better Website Backup to Small Businesses

Dropsuite, a provider of cloud-based backup solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has partnered with U.S.-based Ingram Micro Inc., a leading master cloud services provider and the world’s largest technology distributor.

The deal brings Dropsuite’s cloud backup solutions to even more businesses via Ingram Micro’s extensive network of resellers, telecommunications companies, carriers, hosting companies, managed service providers (MSPs), system integrators, and other IT suppliers. The new partnership will focus on the lucrative North American market, where cloud services for SMEs in the U.S. alone was pegged at US$25 billion in 2015, according to Odin.

As part of the partnership, Dropsuite’s website and database backup product, Dropmysite, is now available on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace. The Cloud Marketplace is an ecosystem of IT buyers, sellers, and solutions that allow channel partners to directly purchase, provision, manage, and invoice cloud offerings from a single dashboard.

Channel partners currently transacting on the Cloud Marketplace in the U.S. can access Dropmysite today.

Sean Oberholtzer, Director of Cloud Business Development at Ingram Micro, said, “The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is quickly becoming a preferred destination for channel partners looking to successfully grow their business and footprint in the cloud. We are excited to add Dropmysite to our Cloud Marketplace and deliver a best-in-class solution that accelerates business transformation and cloud success.”

Ridley Ruth, COO of Dropsuite, said, “Dropsuite is expanding fast globally. This partnership extends our reach in North America through Ingram Micro’s vast network of channel partners. Dropsuite’s backup platform caters to the growing need of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to safeguard their digital assets from IT threats.

We are excited about this partnership with Ingram Micro as it marks a major milestone for our business, enabling seamless delivery of our backup and recovery solutions to SMEs via the Cloud Marketplace.”

Through Ingram Micro, Dropmysite will be offered alongside services including Microsoft Office 365, Dropbox, Cisco WebEx, and RingCentral, among others. With its focus on business continuity, cloud backup, and disaster recovery, Dropmysite complements existing cloud solutions available on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace.

The partnership with Ingram Micro comes weeks after Dropsuite’s rebranding in March, which sets the stage for a new global vision, business strategy, ambition, and its public listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Dropsuite is funded by global investors Hatcher and 500 Startups, and helmed by former Google and Dell executive Charif Elansari. Its innovative cloud solutions include backup, recovery, archiving, and file-based server backup.
