Event: The 3D Game Design with Blender and Unity

The 3D Game Design with Blender and Unity meet up is set to take place on the 15th April from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Outbox Hub, Lumumba Avenue Kampala Uganda.

Blender is an open source 3D content-creation program while Unity 3D is a multi-platform game development tool with customizable and easy to use editor. It is a Game Development Engine, the most fully developed game engine available to anyone. It supports multiple platforms and languages, as well as different 2D and 3D graphics API’s like direct­x and open­-gl.

This design meet up will cover the following:

  • Brief introduction to Unity and Blender.
  • Design game assets in Blender and export them to Unity.
  • Put the environment and character together in Unity, make the interaction between the character and the environment.
  • Basic c# scripting.
  • Animation
  • Finish building the game and publish it to Android, Windows and Web.

Beginner and intermediate level designers and programmers with an interest in making games are encouraged to attend. Anyone who desires to learn Knowledge in Blender and Unity is also welcome to attend.

The facilitators of this design meet up are: Adeline Tushabe; Software developer with experience in Java, both mobile and web development, Game development and design (Using Unity and Cinema4D) and Andrew Cara; Graphics Designer who has worked on several projects for over 5 years in this field.
