Codenamed MUSASHI, the PlayStation update detailed in Sony’s blog will put a smile on many a gamer’s faces. With the ability to play your PS4 games on your PC, appear online of offline at will and even get notified when your friends are online!
Playstation if expanding PS4’s Remote Play capabilities to work with Windows PC and Mac and gamers will simply use a DualShock 4 controller connected to their pcs via USB cable. Remote Play on PC / Mac is compatible with the following system software:
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 10 or later
- OS X 10.10
- OS X 10.11
Players will also be able to select their prefered resolution from 360p, 540p (Default), 720p and frame rate options from Standard/Default (30fps) or High (60fps), depending on their Internet bandwidth.
Along with the software updates come new social features like the ability for one to appear online or offline at will. Players will receive notifications for friends when they come online.
The Events tab has new cool features too.You’ll now be able to schedule gameplay sessions with your friends. Choose the day, time, game, and invite the friends you want to be a part of your party. When your event starts, users who registered will automatically be added to a party so you can start playing right away.
