After months of deliberations, the panel of Judges at Google finally announced the winners of the Google apps developer Challenge.
The winners will see themselves walk away with prizes that include Chromebooks and up to$20,000 USD
Among some of the apps from Africa that made it to the finals are:

Form+, from Nigeria
This application brings the power of Google Drive to forms.
Open Drive from Togo
Open Drive is a collective encyclopedia project based on Google Drive public files and on the crowd sharing, crowd sourcing and crowd-solving principles
Dextop, from Uganda
Dextop is a desktop-like portal to your cloud-based applications. A lightweight virtual desktop
