Tecno SPARK 10 Series: Specs, Pricing and Availability

Following successful launches in other countries, Tecno Mobile yesterday officially launched the SPARK 10 Series in Uganda. The launch was held at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) to what we believe targets the youth “Gen Z” as the company calls them as per their headline “The Ultimate Smartphone For Gen Z”.

Tecno is a well-known brand in the smartphone market producing a series of smartphones including the Camon, the Phantom, the Pova, the Pop, and the Spark. Their latest offering is in the Spark Series and comes in four variants, however, only three have been made available in Uganda i.e. the Tecno Spark 10, Tecno Spark 10 C, and Tecno Spark 10 Pro. The fourth variant is the Tecno Spark 10 5G.

The phone comes with a range of exciting features, making it an ideal choice for those looking for an affordable yet high-performance smartphone. Being a successor to the Spark 9 Series that was announced in June 2022 and made available in July of the same year, the handsets [Spark 10] come with minor improvements in design, performance, camera, battery life, and additional features.

Specifications and Features

All three Tecno Spark 10 phones a powered by a Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery with 18W fast charging. The Spark 10 and the 10 Pro come with Android 13 and HiOS 12.6 on top, while the Spark 10C has Android 12 Go Edition.

The Spark 10 Pro comes with a 6.8-Inch display while the Spark 10 and 10C come with a bit smaller than the Pro, a 6.6-Inch display. They come with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels to give the user a vibrant viewing experience.

Under the hood, the phones are powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 gaming chipset and Octa-core processor powerful enough to handle multiple tasks with ease. The Spark 10 comes with 4GB RAM and onboard storage of 128GB, while the Pro version comes in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The Spark 10C on the other hand also comes in two variants 4GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. The phones feature Memory Fusion Technology which helps enhance the devices’ performance. The RAM capacity of the phones can be increased up to 16GB RAM (8GB extended RAM). Such huge memory ensures more apps run at a much faster rate, bringing the smoothest user experience. On the other hand, they can also expand their onboard storage with a microSD card.

On the cameras, they come with a 32MP front-facing camera, and dual rear camera with 50MP + 2MP. All the cameras (front and rear) can shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps. Tecno brought some fancy features such as Beauty Mode, and AR stickers, and there are also Super Night Filters and Super Night Algorithm.

Pricing and Availability

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro was announced in Starry Black and Pearl White. The other models come in Black, Blue, White, and Green.

Tecno has also introduced the SWAP MY TECNO program where customers with old Tecno Smartphones can swamp their phones for any of the new SPARK 10 Series. “We implore all our customers to take this opportunity and get themselves these wonderful devices through our new policy,” the company said.
