Tecno Mobile Uganda together with its partners Airtel Uganda and StarTimes on Friday launched the SPARK 20 Pro+ smartphone, an upgraded addition to its popular SPARK 20 Series.
During the launch of the handset at the Next Media Park, Tecno Mobile Uganda, Brand Manager, Timmy Shen remarked the SPARK 20 Pro+ reflects the company’s commitment to bringing flagship-level camera technology and stylish design to a wider audience.
Shen further said, “As an unprecedented upgrade to the popular SPARK 20 Series, this new device is a leader among budget smartphones, redefining what’s possible in its price bracket and creating new ways for trendsetting Gen Z consumers to be at the forefront.”
The Minister for ICT and National Guidance Hon. Chris Baryomunsi applauded Tecno Mobile for launching and making available the SPARK 20 Pro+ in the Ugandan market. He appealed to the company to produce more affordable but quality devices for an “ordinary” Ugandan, adding that every Ugandan needs a smartphone today to conduct business or improve their way of life.
With Airtel Uganda on board, the device comes with free 3GB of data every month for three (3) months. Customers who buy the handset and have an Airtel sim card will be able to claim for this offer.

That’s why, with every purchase of the SPARK 20 Pro+, we are offering 3GB of free Airtel data monthly for three months.” He added that this initiative is not just about giving more data; it’s about opening a world of opportunities, fostering connections, and ensuring that Airtel customers experience the best of what this device and the network can offer.
Specs and Features
The Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It has a 108 MP main rear camera with a 1/1.67″ type sensor, f/1.75 aperture, 3x in-sensor zoom, a dual LED flash, and a 32 MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture & a dual LED flash of its own.
It has a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, curved sides, 1,000-nit peak brightness, 2,160 Hz PWM dimming, an embedded fingerprint sensor, and 1,080×2,436 resolution. Tecno has added a “self-developed” “Dynamic Port”, which is “Always-On, Never In the Way”. In case you’re confused, it’s Tecno’s interpretation of Apple’s Dynamic Island.
The handset is also IP53-certified for dust and splash resistance.
The Spark 20 Pro+ boasts a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, and it runs Android 14 which is extremely nice to see at this price point.
Availability, Price, and Color
The Spark 20 Pro+ is priced at UGX859,000 and it is available at all Tecno shops, Airtel Uganda service centers, and at all authorized mobile phone dealers across the country. The Spark 20 Pro+ including its predecessors can be purchased in installments from Take Now and EasyBuy.
The phone comes in four colorways, all with very out their names: Temporal Orbits, Lunar Frost, Radiant Starstream, and Magic Skin 2.0 Green. The last one has a faux leather back, while the rest all seem to be textured glass.
