Bolt Business, the corporate mobility arm of ride-hailing company Bolt, has posted strong year-on-year growth in Nigeria, as more companies turn to digital transport platforms to manage employee travel.
The company reported double-digit growth over the past 12 months, fueled by rising adoption across industries, growing interest from small and medium-sized enterprises, and a shift among organisations away from maintaining their own vehicle fleets.
Bolt Business now counts clients across banking, technology, healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, logistics, media, real estate and consumer goods. Its roster includes First Bank, Access Bank, PwC, Boston Consulting Group, Interswitch, Glovo, Chowdeck, the Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism, News Central, Pfizer Specialties, Lagoon Hospitals, Avon Healthcare, UAC Foods, MRS, China Harbour Engineering Company Nigeria, CAPPA & D’Alberto, and ValueJet, among others.
The growth points to a wider change in how Nigerian companies handle corporate travel. Instead of running costly in-house fleets or piecing together ad hoc transport arrangements, a growing number of businesses are moving to platforms that offer more transparency and control over spending.
“Businesses today are looking beyond transportation, they’re looking for smarter ways to optimise operations and manage costs,” said Isaac Iroko, Bolt Business’s Country Manager for Nigeria. He noted that companies across sectors have adopted the platform for its simplicity and reliability in managing staff travel — whether daily commutes, client meetings or business trips — calling it a sign that corporate mobility is becoming a bigger part of business efficiency in the country.
The platform differs from conventional fleet management by centralising transport on a single system, with tools such as consolidated billing, trip reporting, spending limits and real-time tracking of employee journeys — features designed to give businesses more oversight while cutting down on administrative work.
Looking ahead, Bolt plans to deepen its ties with existing customers by rolling out solutions built for industries with especially frequent travel needs, among them healthcare, financial services, legal services and logistics.
“Nigeria’s business landscape is evolving rapidly, and organisations are under increasing pressure to operate more efficiently,” Iroko said, adding that Bolt sees room to help companies replace inefficient transport processes with tools that improve visibility and simplify expense management. “Our focus remains on building products that create value for organisations of every size while delivering a seamless experience for their employees.”
With Nigerian businesses increasingly focused on cutting costs and improving efficiency, Bolt Business is positioning itself to grow further by offering mobility solutions that scale with company size and simplify corporate travel management.
