Airtel Uganda, in partnership with CISCO, launch a Network-as-a-Service (NaaS), a subscription-based enterprise solution that allows businesses to access scalable, secure, and fully managed network infrastructure without the need for upfront investment in hardware.
The launch event, which was held at Kampala Serena Hotel, showcased how the NaaS solution aligns with Airtel Uganda’s vision of enabling digital transformation for businesses across the country.
Rajesh Agarwal, Network Director at Airtel Uganda, said the telco believes in a Uganda where businesses can focus on what they do best: serving customers, creating jobs, and innovating. “With Network-as-a-Service, we’re removing the burden of managing complex IT infrastructure. This is a shift in how enterprise networking is done,” he added.
NaaS is designed to support enterprises of all sizes by offering flexible, on-demand scalability of network resources. It provides built-in security features such as firewalls, encryption, and compliance measures, ensuring data protection and regulatory alignment. Businesses benefit from access to global-grade infrastructure paired with localized support, while also receiving 24/7 dedicated technical assistance to maintain seamless and reliable connectivity.
The solution is powered by CISCO, a global leader in networking technology, and tailored to meet the unique needs of Ugandan enterprises.
Javed Johar, the Account Executive CISCO Architecture, noted: “We’re proud to partner with Airtel Uganda on this transformative solution. Businesses today need networks that are agile, secure, and intelligent. NaaS delivers exactly that while freeing up internal teams to focus on innovation.”
With this launch, Airtel Uganda reaffirms its commitment to powering the nation’s digital economy with reliable, innovative, and inclusive services.
