The ICT Association of Uganda (ICTAU) in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, the National Information Technology Authority Uganda, Uganda Investment Authority, and industry stakeholders, is organizing an inaugural ICT National Summit scheduled for September.
The summit builds on the success of the Technology Information Confederation Africa (TICON Africa) Conference 2023 which highlighted Uganda’s potential in digital transformation and technological innovation, there is still a pressing need to solidify this position and address ongoing challenges in the ICT sector.

Based on the theme “Economic Competitiveness through Strategic and Sustainable Digital Transformation”, the summit slated for the 9th and 10th of September is anticipated to focus on fostering digital inclusion, enhancing automated trust, and highlighting the pivotal role of technology leaders in driving sustainable growth.
This is an opportunity for NGOs and humanitarian organizations to showcase innovations and engage with potential partners, including embassies and international development agencies, comprising of business matching sessions, speed networking, and solution clinics to facilitate collaboration, partnerships, and practical solutions.
The ICT National Summit is a premier event that will convene decision-makers, industry leaders, and technology enthusiasts committed to advancing Uganda’s ICT sector.
This platform facilitates thought leadership, and policy influence —and showcases groundbreaking projects that attract investment and drive digital transformation. These interactive components will ensure participants gain valuable insights and build meaningful connections, making the ICT National Summit a must-attend event for anyone invested in the future of technology in Uganda and beyond.
The summit is set to attract various categories of participants including Government Officials, Cloud Leaders, Sourcing Procurement and Vendor Management Leaders (SPVM), Technical Professionals, IT Security Leaders, Industry Leaders, Development Partners and Humanitarian Organizations, Angel Investors, and Venture Capitalists, Infrastructure Leaders, among others.
All summit delegates are expected to pay delegate fees of USD$200 for Ugandans, USD$250 for East Africans, USD$300 for Internationals, and USD$50 for Students.
Meanwhile, all entities interested in featuring during the summit have a wide range of sponsorship packages to choose from based on categories such as Exclusive at USD$55,000, Platinum at USD$30,000, Gold at USD$20,000, Silver at USD$10,000 and Bronze at USD$5,000, with various features including annual subscription to the ICTAU.
