The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) in partnership with the African Women’s Development Fund, last year launched the “Enterprise Development for Women-Owned Ventures in Green Energy” initiative aimed at helping women turn their renewable and green energy enterprise idea into a product or service that customers want to buy.
The Women in Green Energy Ventures Accelerator Programme which is being implemented in Malawi and Nigeria, calls for women-owned and/or women-led enterprises involved in renewable and green energy to apply for this opportunity not later than March 1st, 2021. [APPLICATION LINK]
Only 10 women-owned and/or women-led enterprises will be selected, and shall receive tailored support and training for scaling, one-on-one expert mentoring & coaching, tangible opportunity to raise capital; access to networks, partners and investors for growth.
The Accelerator Programme will take place over a period of eight weeks starting March 15th to May 7th, 2021.
Those eligible are;
- Women owners or leaders of scalable renewable and green energy businesses.
- Business must be registered and operating in either Malawi or Nigeria.
- Business is post-revenue and operating for not less than two years.
- You are looking for opportunities to raise growth capital.
The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum is one of Africa’s largest and most prestigious women entrepreneurship platform. It has supported over 1,300 women from 47 countries.
